COSTS GUIDANCE

We also provide some general guidance on our costs below.

Information for Clients: Practices

POWERS OF ATTORNEY

Our fees for Lasting Powers of Attorney (‘LPAs’) start from:

  • Property and Financial Affairs  £595  plus VAT

  • Health and Welfare  £595 plus VAT

  • Property and Financial Affairs AND Health and Welfare  £1,095 plus VAT

  • Property and Financial Affairs AND Health and Welfare for two persons (e.g. a couple)  £2,095 plus VAT

 

Following the initial meeting we are usually able to provide you with a fee estimate.

The fee payable to the Office of the Public Guardian for registering each LPA is currently £83. In some cases, you may be entitled to a fee exemption or reduction, depending on your financial circumstances. You do not have to register the document straight away but we recommend that you do to ensure that there are no delays if your Attorneys need to use the LPAs in future.

Ordinary Power of Attorney: if you require an Ordinary Power of Attorney, our costs start from £495 plus VAT. Following the initial meeting we are usually able to provide you with a fee estimate.

 

Registration of Enduring Power of Attorney: if you require the registration of an Enduring Power of Attorney our costs start from £750 plus VAT. Following the initial meeting we are usually able to provide you with a fee estimate.

WILLS

A Will for an individual starts from £1,225 plus VAT.

Wills for couples (where the provisions 'mirror') start from £1,925 plus VAT.

Following the initial meeting we are usually able to provide you with a fee estimate.

COURT OF PROTECTION

Our fees for matters relating to the Court of Protection (including Deputy applications, applications relating to the sale of property, and Statutory Will applications) are calculated on a time-spent basis. 

Following the initial meeting we are usually able to provide you with a fee estimate.

 

We will also explain to you the different third party fees (such as Court fees and fees for obtaining expert reports) which may be applicable to your matter.
